Alabama A&M Science Building (22322)

Includes the construction of a free-standing 3 story building that will house laboratory spaces for physics, biology, and chemistry. The project includes 2 large lecture halls with fixed seating and 1 lecture hall with non-fixed seathing and an operable partition. There are support offices on each floor for faculty. The project is approximately 123,500 square feet. The project includes an ICC 500 Strom Shelter in compliance with the State of Alabama. The primary structure is steel frame and elevated metal deck and concrete floors. Storm Shelter is 2-hour fire-resistance-rated load bearing 12" concrete masonry units.
